The thermal cutoff fuse bases on a one-shot operation principle and prevents electrical appliances from catching fire due to overheating. It is able to operate in electric circuits with large currents.

The SEFUSE® SF fuse uses an organic thermo-sensitive material as a thermal element. Therefore, the SFH type has the most stable material. All SF types except the SF/K version have a ceramic pipe in order to protect the sealing resin from stress caused by possible bending of the leads.

SF-K Series
• Appropriate for electric flows with 6A currents (AC250V).
• The operating temperature ranges from 73°C to 216°C.

SF-R Series
• Appropriate for electric flows with 10A/15A currents (AC250V).
• The operating temperature ranges from 73°C to 240°C.

SFH-R Series
• Appropriate for electric flows with 10A/15A currents (AC250V).
• The operating temperature ranges from 110°C to 176°C.

SF-Y Series
• Appropriate for electric flows with 15A currents (AC250V).
• The operating temperature ranges from 73°C to 240°C.

All versions of the SM thermal cutoff use a fusible alloy as a thermal element. All types are environmentally-friendly and comply with the Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) and the Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS).

SM/G Series
• Appropriate for electric flows with 0.5A currents (AC250V).
• Appropriate for electric flows with 5A currents (DC 50V)
• The operating temperature ranges from 115°C~151°C

SM/B Series
• Appropriate for electric flows with 1A currents (AC 250V)
• Appropriate for electric flows with 3.5A~6A currents (DC 50V)
• The operating temperature ranges from 97°C~151°C

SM/A Series
• Appropriate for electric flows with 2A currents (AC 250V)
• Appropriate for electric flows with 3A~7A currents (DC 50V)
• The operating temperature ranges from 76°C~151°C

SCHOTT SEFUSE® battery fuses offer comprehensive protection for electronic devices. The design and functionality protects Li-ion batteries from potentially damaging and dangerous overcurrent and overcharging circumstances.

In case overcurrent occurs while using the device, the fuse element will open and cut off the circuit. In case of overcharging, FET is activated and the heater element disables the fuse element, resulting in the circuit being cut off.
